Best Press Release Distribution Services — 2026 Ranked

eReleases ranks first: its Buzz Builder package puts custom national PR Newswire distribution, stated word and industry-list allowances, and linked WireWatch reporting on one page for $399. EIN Presswire and Business Wire share second: self-serve targeting from $149 and the pick of the full-service wires respectively. Quote-priced global circuits and written-and-distributed agency services complete the ten.

Published: 2026-09-05Updated: 2026-09-05Evidence cutoff: 2026-09-05Methodology: M1.3

A press release distribution service sends your announcement outward, but the deliverable differs by provider. Some sell syndication that republishes the release across a network of sites; others add delivery into newsrooms and journalist inboxes; the full-service wires add audience targeting, translation and reporting. The counts providers publish — outlets, countries, newslines — describe the size of the circuit, not journalists writing about you.[14][19][29]

eReleases is the best press release distribution service for 2026, with EIN Presswire and Business Wire sharing second. Self-serve and tiered packages run from $149 a release up to $399 and higher for national-wire bundles, while the global wires price by quote. PRWeb's $120 Basic tier sits below that range because it omits the network syndication that qualifies the assessed purchase. ACCESS Newswire and PR Newswire share fourth just behind them, with FATJOE sixth.[13][23][29]

US national wire distribution with optional writing[29]

Introduction

eReleases sells national PR Newswire distribution in three public packages — Buzz Builder at $399, Newsmaker at $499 and PR Pro at $699 — each with stated word counts, industry target lists, images, editorial review and linked WireWatch reporting. Writing is optional and billed separately at $300.[29]

What they do

Custom national distribution over the PR Newswire wire with editorial review, industry-list targeting and linked distribution reports. Writing is an optional $300 service: briefing by website, documents, phone or email, then buyer review and revisions before anything distributes.[29]

Our verdict

We recommend eReleases when you want a national-wire purchase with the allowances printed on the page — words, industry lists, images — and a report that shows where the release landed. The trade is the meter on everything beyond the bundle: writing, extra words, extra lists and embedding each add cost. And national syndication is republication, not a journalist deciding to cover you.[29]

Strengths

  • Standard public packages specify words, industry targets and two images.[29]
  • Linked WireWatch and Visibility reporting about two hours after release.[29]
  • Optional writing held until the buyer approves the copy.[29]

Limitations

  • Writing, excess words, extra lists and media embedding each add to the package price.[29]
  • National syndication documents republication; it does not guarantee independent journalist-written coverage.[29][30]

Price and engagement

Buzz Builder $399, Newsmaker $499 and PR Pro $699 per release, each with its word count, industry lists and two images; writing adds $300.[29]

Billed per release with no subscription. The displayed dollar figures are package prices; billing currency and taxes are not stated on the pricing page.[29]

National distribution scope

Every tier buys the same underlying product: custom national distribution over the PR Newswire wire, with editorial review and targeting lists included. eReleases packages that wire rather than operating an independent network of its own, so compare it against other ways of buying the same reach.[29]

Costing the release

Buzz Builder at $399 covers 400 words and one industry target list; Newsmaker at $499 covers 500 words and two lists; PR Pro at $699 covers 600 words and three lists plus an influencer list. Two images and editorial review are in each package. Writing is a $300 add-on with buyer review and revisions, and nothing distributes until the copy satisfies you.[29]

Beyond the bundle the meter runs: extra 100-word blocks, extra industry lists, local targeting and image embedding cost $150 each, video embedding $200, and international distribution is quoted per country or global. Support runs Monday to Friday, 7am to 7pm Eastern, through the contact form and editor chat.[29][31]

What reports demonstrate

WireWatch supplies linked placement URLs and a Visibility report about two hours after the release goes out — that is two hours after release, not after ordering. The reports document where the release travelled and how it performed there.[29]

Read those URLs for what they are: evidence of distribution and syndicated republication, not independently written coverage. No general distribution money-back promise is on record; order-specific terms take precedence, so keep the written quote for your release.[29][30]

Business Wire

Financial announcements and targeted global media distribution[26][27]

Introduction

Business Wire offers one-time and ongoing news distribution with expert editorial review, targeted geographic, industry and audience circuits, multimedia options and NewsTrak analytics. Financial communications — simultaneous disclosure, financial tables, investor workflows — are a distinct supported line. Everything is priced by scoped quote.[26][27]

What they do

Full-service wire distribution to targeted media circuits with editorial review, multimedia and translation options, investor and financial-disclosure workflows, and NewsTrak measurement of views, clicks and posting sites.[26]

Our verdict

We recommend Business Wire for communications and financial announcements that need global circuits and release-level engagement reporting. The trade: only the quoted scope prices your campaign: a local base figure does not price national or international reach, so obtain the exact scope — and confirm the launch deadline, since none is published.[26][27]

Strengths

  • Geographic and industry circuits with financial audiences and financial-table formatting.[26][27]
  • NewsTrak reports separate hosting websites from release viewership and interactions.[26]

Limitations

  • Total price depends on words, circuits and media enhancements; no starting price is confirmed.[27]
  • No numerical release-processing deadline is published, so confirm the launch date on the quote.[27]

Price and engagement

Priced by quote against words, circuits and enhancements from a 400-word US domestic local base unit. No public starting figure is confirmed, so scope the campaign before comparing totals.[27]

Circuit planning

One-time local releases and ongoing distribution programmes are distinct cost scopes, not one price. Geography, industry and audience circuits — including financial audiences — select where the release goes, and the quote follows the scope.[27]

Announcement format

The base unit is a 400-word US domestic local release with unlimited hyperlinks, a linked colour logo, rich text and financial tables, plus analytics and round-the-clock support. Photos, video, interactive elements and translations widen the scope and the quote.[26][27]

Reading the report

NewsTrak reports release views, clicks, social and media interaction, posting sites, source, location and language, time windows, release history and comparisons, with PDF and Excel export.[26][28]

Keep two numbers apart: the audience of the sites hosting the release is potential reach, while views and clicks measure the release itself. Neither syndication nor a large potential audience establishes independently written coverage.[26]

Self-serve releases with country and industry targeting[13]

Introduction

EIN Presswire, operated by Newsmatics Inc., is a self-serve wire: you supply the announcement, preview it, pick country and industry targets, and submit or schedule it for distribution through its platform, news partners, affiliates and newsroom routes. Basic costs $149 for one release; five- and fifteen-credit bundles cost $499 and $999.[12][14]

What they do

Self-serve release distribution through a proprietary platform and wires, partner reprints, news databases and direct newsroom routing, after editorial review. You choose the geography and industry targets and the tier’s word, image and video allowances set the size of the release.[12][14]

Our verdict

We recommend EIN Presswire when you can supply a finished release and want an explicit self-serve package with targeting and media allowances at a printed price. The trades: prepaid bundles expire after a year, same-day needs a verified account in business hours, and the FAQ states nofollow-only links with no human writing on offer.[13][14]

Strengths

  • Country and industry selection with defined word and media allowances on every tier.[13]
  • Scheduling and same-day distribution listed on all three plans, with stated verification conditions.[13]
  • Inspectable sample report with linked reprints, newsroom targets and PDF/CSV/RSS exports.[14][16]

Limitations

  • Prepaid credits must be used within 365 days, rolling over only with a same-or-higher-level repurchase.[13]
  • Network reach counts republication routes, not independent journalists covering the story.[14]
  • FAQ states release links are nofollow-only, and no human writing service is offered.[14]

Price and engagement

Basic $149 for one release, $499 for five credits, $999 for fifteen, prepaid with no subscription. The displayed dollar figures are package prices; billing currency and taxes are not stated on the pricing page.[13]

Prorated refunds within 60 days apply only where less than a quarter of the credits are used. Unused credits move forward only inside a same-or-higher-level repurchase.[14][15]

Selecting a package

Basic at $149 buys one release credit: 700 words, one image, one video, one country and one industry target. The $499 five-credit and $999 fifteen-credit tiers raise the allowances to 1,000 and 2,500 words, three and five images, and two countries with five industries. All three tiers list scheduling and same-day distribution.[13]

A temporary extra-release promotion is advertised alongside the standard credit counts. Treat the printed credits — one, five, fifteen — as the standard purchase, not the promotion.[13]

Where news travels

Distribution runs through EIN’s own platform and wires, news partners and affiliates, databases, and direct newsroom routing through its World Media Directory with opt-in email. Keep those routes separate in your head: wire transmission and newsroom delivery are the service; automatic republication of the release and EIN’s own publications are different outputs.[12][14]

Two plain limits come from the FAQ itself. Release links are nofollow-only, and EIN does not offer human press-release writing — a free AI draft generator is described instead, untested here. Supply finished copy or buy writing elsewhere.[14]

Usage window

Credits are prepaid and must be used within 365 days. Same-day distribution needs a verified account during business hours; first-time verification can take up to two business days, while later release reviews generally take about two business hours.[13][14]

Unused credits roll into a same-or-higher-level repurchase only — there is no standalone rollover. The FAQ offers a prorated refund within 60 days where less than a quarter of the credits are used, based on remaining credits through the contact form; a service-specific agreement takes priority over the general terms.[14][15]

The sample report

EIN publishes a live representative report — a MentorAPM release distributed on 2 September 2026 — showing linked reprints, newswire and newsroom-target sections, a link and media summary, and PDF, CSV and RSS exports. Reports appear about two hours after distribution. The sample is provider-selected and rotates, so read it as proof of the report’s shape, not of typical pickup.[14][16][18]

One conflict to know: the editorial guidelines promise a review of each release, while the FAQ calls review discretionary and not guaranteed. The favourable promise stands, discounted for the disagreement — do not assume every release is read before it goes out.[14][17]

ACCESS Newswire

ACCESS Newswire logo
Best for

Recurring distribution alongside media outreach[6]

Introduction

ACCESS PR sells press release distribution by single release, bundle or subscription, sitting alongside a media database, pitching, monitoring and analytics. Budget and US Premium circuits span local, national and global reach with unlimited words and images; same-day distribution with typical two-to-four business-hour processing is the stated pace.[6]

What they do

Wire distribution of press releases with actual delivery plus targeted pitching — not database access alone — wrapped in an optional PR platform of monitoring, analytics and a media database. Drafting, scheduling or holding for an editorial call is part of the workflow, with optional writing and editing.[6]

Our verdict

We recommend ACCESS Newswire for recurring communications teams that want release distribution combined with pitching and monitoring in one account. The trade: Budget versus US Premium inclusions and the quoted package scope still need confirmation, and no current price is confirmed — so pin the circuit list to the quote before you sign.[6][8]

Strengths

  • One-off and recurring purchase options around the same distribution.[6]
  • Downloadable dashboard reports covering pickups, views, click-through and geography.[9]
  • Full refund promised where selected-plan distribution cannot be performed.[8]

Limitations

  • Budget versus US Premium circuit inclusions and quoted package scope still need confirmation on your order.[8]
  • Guideline-rejected copy earns revision and a 60-day credit, not a cash refund — a different trigger from the distribution-failure refund.[8][10]

Price and engagement

One-off, bundle and subscription routes with monthly, quarterly or annual choices; three- and five-release packs are described as nonexpiring. No current figure is confirmed, so confirm the package scope and total before comparing.[8]

Distribution versus platform

Buy the distribution, not the login. ACCESS PR sells release distribution by one-off, bundle or subscription; the journalist database, pitching, monitoring and analytics around it are a PR platform you may or may not need. ACCESS IR, with investor sites and earnings webcasts, is a separate adjacent offer.[6]

Cadence and engagement

Pay-as-you-go suits the occasional announcement; bundles and subscriptions suit a steady cadence, with three- and five-release packs described as nonexpiring. Budget and US Premium name different circuit classes — US Premium adds Yahoo Finance, AP, broker and trading terminals, Business Insider and specialty circuits — and both list unlimited words and images with reporting.[6][8]

Two remedies with different triggers. If the selected-plan distribution cannot be performed, the submission page promises a full refund. If copy is rejected under the content guidelines, the route is revision and an account credit usable within 60 days — not a cash refund. Know which trigger you are in before you argue.[8][10]

Reporting scope

Downloadable dashboard reports describe pickups, views, click-through rates and geographic interaction; the provider says to allow at least 24 hours for the data to populate.[6][9]

The LLM retrievability score is a vendor-defined metric. It does not verify that an AI answer includes your release.[6]

Corporate unification

ACCESS Newswire Inc., formerly Issuer Direct Corporation, unified Accesswire, Newswire.com and Pressrelease.com under one corporate identity in January 2025, with separate published editorial and customer-support routes. That shared roof does not make current plans, contracts or review profiles identical — compare the offer in front of you, not the family name.[7][11]

PR Newswire

Global news with granular audience targeting[21]

Introduction

PR Newswire is the direct newswire: you upload a release, the editorial team proofreads and tags it, and it distributes to selected circuits across newsrooms, feeds, media sites and opt-in journalist inboxes. Targeting runs to city, industry and beat level in more than 170 countries and 40 languages. Price is set by quote.[21]

What they do

Direct press release distribution with 24/7 proofreading and tagging, multimedia support, and performance reporting through the Amplify module. Optional amplification across paid, shared, owned and earned channels sits outside the core distribution purchase.[21]

Our verdict

We recommend PR Newswire for wide international newsroom reach with local, industry and beat targeting few others match. The trade is commercial, not editorial: scope-driven quotes and account setup make the cost and the first-release timetable the least immediate to compare on this page.[21]

Strengths

  • Extensive geographic, language and news-beat targeting down to city level.[21]
  • Defined opt-in journalist and newsroom channels beyond syndication.[21]
  • Amplify reporting with pickup, engagement and exportable comparisons.[21][22]

Limitations

  • Price varies with distribution scope and enhancements, so nothing here is comparable without a quote.[21]
  • Hours-after-approval timing applies to established accounts; first-account setup adds its own timetable.[21]

Price and engagement

Sold by quote: distribution scope, geography and extra services set the price, and the signed order defines the circuits, commitments and terms.[21]

Audience selection

Selection spans more than 170 countries, more than 40 languages, subnational cities, industries and news beats. Reach counts on the service pages describe network capacity in the hundreds of thousands — they differ between pages and neither is a per-release output, so do not read them as guaranteed placements.[21]

Preparing a release

You upload the release; the editorial team proofreads spelling, grammar, punctuation and tagging, then distributes to the selected circuits. Photos, videos, logos and infographics are supported, with fees and inclusions set by the quote. Editorial help is advertised around the clock.[21]

Planning the first send

Distribution within hours of approval applies once an account is established — account setup comes first, so the first release takes longer than the headline pace. The Amplify report module lists pickup, traffic, engagement, audience and referral metrics with comparisons of up to three releases and PDF, CSV and PNG exports; which of that your quote includes is unconfirmed.[21][22]

Agency releases with writing and approval[1]

Introduction

FATJOE’s Pro press release distribution is an on-demand agency service: its writers produce the release, you approve it, and it distributes across a promised 350-plus placements with Google News submission and higher-tier outlets. A white-label placement report closes the job. Basic and Ultimate tiers sit either side of the scored Pro offer.[1]

What they do

An on-demand service that writes the release, gets buyer approval and distributes it through news channels and manual submissions. Pro adds Google News submission and higher-tier outlets to the general network; a local add-on promises ten local placements.[1]

Our verdict

We recommend FATJOE for agencies that need an approved release and a reusable placement report at a per-campaign price. The trade: the broad distribution promise offers less precise targeting than the specialist wires, the current price is unconfirmed, and removal after publication cannot be assured.[1]

Strengths

  • Writing, revisions and pre-distribution approval included in the workflow.[1]
  • 350-plus live-placement promise with a white-label report.[1]
  • Full refund promised where the product guarantees are missed.[1]

Limitations

  • Specific-country targeting is unclear beside the ten-placement local add-on.[1]
  • Post-distribution removal cannot be assured, and local add-on releases cannot be removed.[1]

Price and engagement

Priced per campaign; the current figure is unconfirmed, so confirm the Pro tier price before comparing.[1]

The product page promises a full refund where guarantees are missed; the general terms lean non-refundable with service carve-outs. Keep the specific promise and read both.[1][2]

Writing and sign-off

The scored Pro offer writes a 300-plus-word release, revises it and seeks buyer approval before distribution. For agencies reselling the work, that approval step plus the white-label placement report is the whole appeal: the client sees finished copy and a reusable report.[1]

Distribution and link treatment

Distribution promises more than 350 placements through news channels and manual submissions, with Pro adding Google News submission and named higher-tier outlets. Read that promise carefully: submission to Google News is not guaranteed inclusion, and the placement count is a provider promise, not an audited result.[1]

Keep the tiers apart on links. Pro and Ultimate links usually follow, with stated exceptions; Basic links are explicitly nofollow and Basic is not the offer scored here. One page element promises body and bio links while FAQ wording describes a single contact URL — confirm the placement your order buys.[1]

Changes and remedies

Approve carefully, because removal after distribution cannot be assured — and releases under the local add-on cannot be removed at all. The product page promises a full refund where its guarantees are missed, while the general terms use non-refundable wording with individual-service carve-outs; keep the specific product promise and read the terms alongside it.[1][2]

International announcements with multimedia and financial audiences[19]

Introduction

GlobeNewswire provides full-service international distribution through geographic and industry newslines, with editorial help, translation, reporting and optional connected PR tools. Its stated circuit spans over 1,000 newslines across 158 countries and 35 languages. Price is set by scoped quote.[19]

What they do

Full-service distribution through selectable newslines with editorial preparation, formatting, links, timing, translation and distribution setup, plus release reporting and optional connected PR tools. Self-service and full-service routes and financial-disclosure workflows are described.[19]

Our verdict

We recommend GlobeNewswire for international communications needing many local-language circuits and richer announcement formats. The trade: confirm the quote and the current platform inclusions, because the platform naming has changed and the base-package entitlement is unconfirmed.[19]

Strengths

  • 158 countries, 35 languages and more than 1,000 newslines with translation support.[19]
  • Multimedia formats and release-level analytics described in the service evidence.[19]

Limitations

  • No exact price or numerical distribution deadline is published; round-the-clock editorial support is availability, not a publication promise.[19]
  • Current platform naming has changed to Notified Content OS, with exact base-package analytics and multimedia entitlement unconfirmed.[19]

Price and engagement

Priced by scoped quote covering circuits, multimedia, translation and extras. No public package price exists, so confirm the inclusions and the release deadline on the quote.[19]

Global circuits

Choose newslines by geography, industry and media type across more than 1,000 newslines, 158 countries and 35 languages, with translation and editorial help in the full-service offer. Those scope figures are provider-stated network size, not a contracted number of placements or readers.[19]

Richer release formats

Images, infographics, PDFs, audio and video are described, including interactive media snippets — the richest format menu on this page. But the current platform is named Notified Content OS and exact base-package entitlement is unconfirmed, so verify which formats your quote includes before assuming.[19]

Measurement and follow-on coverage

Release analytics with views, shares, clicks and shareable live dashboards are described, again with the platform-bundle caveat above. Keep three outputs apart: the analytics measure the release, syndicated articles republish it, and independently written coverage is a separate outcome nothing here guarantees — including the AI citation tracking, which measures retrievability rather than assuring inclusion.[19][20]

Managed writing and syndication hand-off[4]

Introduction

Loganix sells a managed press release and syndication service: you brief the announcement, its writers prepare the story, you review the copy, and the team schedules distribution and returns a white-label report. Named broadcaster and site examples illustrate the network; no exact package price is published.[4]

What they do

Managed writing and wire distribution: questionnaire briefing, story preparation, buyer review of the copy, scheduled distribution and a white-label report. National and local destinations are described without precise selectable targeting controls.[4]

Our verdict

We recommend Loganix for a managed brief-to-report workflow with copy review before anything goes out. The trade: package cost, exact network allocation and target selection all need confirmation first, and the ten-day timing sits under terms that qualify dates as targets.[4]

Strengths

  • Writing, copy review and scheduling in a single managed workflow.[4]
  • Conventional wire distribution kept distinct from its AI press product.[4]

Limitations

  • No exact public package price or multimedia allowance is published, and exact network allocation needs confirmation.[4]
  • The ten-day product timing is qualified by general terms that call dates targets.[4][5]

Price and engagement

No exact package price is published for the managed release order. Confirm the package cost, the exact network allocation and target selection before commissioning.[4]

Managed workflow

You supply the announcement through a questionnaire; Loganix writers prepare the story, you review the copy, and the team schedules distribution and returns a white-label report. It is a brief-to-report hand-off for buyers who want the writing and the sending handled together.[4]

Which press product

Buy the conventional press release and syndication offer scored here. Shop The List and the AI Press Release are different products with a different format and goal — do not judge this purchase by their terms.[4]

Delivery promises

The product promises a report within ten days and names a Google News pickup promise, but the general terms call dates targets subject to review and publisher schedules and do not promise Google indexing. These concern partly different outcomes: keep the specific ten-day and pickup promises while clarifying which applies to your order.[4][5]

Non-live links earn equal-or-better replacement, and the general link terms promise six-month replacement. Confirm before commissioning how per-placement account credits apply to a syndicated-release bundle.[4][5]

Online syndication with optional journalist email[23]

Introduction

PRWeb sells per-release online distribution in four tiers from $120 to $480. Standard at $245 is the syndication entry with a 1,200-plus site network; Advanced at $360 adds a journalist email list and proofreading; Premium at $480 adds a content recommendation network. Unlimited media assets come with every tier.[23]

What they do

Tiered online release distribution: upload content with multimedia, editorial keyword tagging, syndication from Standard up, one industry journalist email list from Advanced up, and a recommendation network at Premium.[23]

Our verdict

We recommend Standard for online syndication and Advanced when an industry journalist send is needed. The trade: Basic costs less but omits the network syndication, all links go out nofollow, and the analytics fields are unverified — so buy the tier whose listed inclusions match the job.[23]

Strengths

  • Public tier prices with stated 24- and 48-hour processing targets.[23]
  • Unlimited media assets listed across every tier.[23]

Limitations

  • Journalist email begins at Advanced, and Basic does not list the network syndication that qualifies the representative purchase.[23]
  • Every web link is automatically nofollow, and the promised analytics arrive with fields, samples and cadence unverified.[24][25]

Price and engagement

Basic $120, Standard $245, Advanced $360 and Premium $480 per release. The dollar figures are displayed package prices; billing currency and taxes are not stated on the pricing page.[23]

Compare PRWeb at Standard for syndication scope. Basic costs less because it lists less — it is a different, smaller purchase.[23]

Choose the qualifying tier

Four per-release tiers: Basic at $120 for search visibility with editorial keyword tagging; Standard at $245, the syndication entry, adding the advertised 1,200-plus website network powered by PR Newswire; Advanced at $360 adding one industry-curated journalist email list and proofreading; Premium at $480 adding a content recommendation network. Do not compare Basic’s price against Standard’s scope — the page does not list the network inclusion for Basic.[23]

PRWeb is owned by Cision US Inc., and the selling party on a current order is whoever the order names. PR Newswire sits in the same corporate family but is a distinct product with its own purchase — do not treat the two as interchangeable.[23]

Adding media reach

Journalist email begins at Advanced with one industry list; Premium adds the Sovrn content recommendation network on top. If direct journalist delivery is the reason you are buying, Advanced is the entry point, not Basic or Standard.[23]

The editorial FAQ states PRWeb automatically applies nofollow to every web link — take the stated attribute as the buying assumption. How It Works promises distribution analytics, while the report’s fields, samples and cadence remain unverified.[24][25]

Timing and assets

Unlimited media assets are listed across all tiers. On timing, the pricing page gives 48 hours for Basic and Standard and 24 hours for Advanced and Premium, while the editorial FAQ gives a default weekday 24 hours with Friday-afternoon jobs handled Monday afternoon. Neither is an unconditional promise — confirm which clock your order runs on, including the weekend handling.[23][24]

Written announcements with pre-distribution approval[3]

Introduction

HOTH Press turns an announcement into a 500-word news-style article, revises it until approved, distributes it according to the selected tier across a 500-plus outlet network, and supplies a white-label report. Most orders complete in two to three weeks including the final report.[3]

What they do

A written-and-distributed article service: 500 words prepared and revised to approval, tier-dependent distribution across a news-outlet network, and a full white-label report of published placements.[3]

Our verdict

We recommend The HOTH when you want an editorial team to turn an announcement into approved copy with a placement report at the end. The trade: neither named outlets nor post-distribution edits are on offer, restricted subjects distribute narrowly, and the price needs confirming, against the slowest stated timetable on this page.[3]

Strengths

  • Editorial writing with revisions until you approve the copy.[3]
  • One-year replacement promise for links that go down.[3]

Limitations

  • Specific outlets cannot be guaranteed, and restricted subjects face narrower distribution.[3]
  • Articles cannot be modified after distribution.[3]

Price and engagement

Sold per HOTH Press order; the current figure is unconfirmed. Confirm the tier price and outlet eligibility together, since the tier decides where the announcement can go.[3]

Editorial production

HOTH Press prepares a 500-word news-style article, revises a supplied draft or its own until you approve it, and distributes only after that approval. Writing is the core of the offer here, not an add-on — including the price of an own-draft order, which is unchanged.[3]

Outlet eligibility

A 500-plus news-outlet network headline frames the offer, but tier and topic decide where your announcement can actually go — no individual outlet is guaranteed. The Gold tier admits international outlets, while restricted subjects face narrower distribution.[3]

After publication

Articles cannot be modified after distribution, so the approval step carries real weight. Links that go down within a year are replaced; content that cannot be revised to meet the guidelines is refunded. Permanent hosting is a provider promise, not a tested outcome.[3]

Buyer guide

Syndication, newsroom delivery, and what you are actually buying

You are buying transmission of an announcement, not coverage of it. Three different outputs sell under one name: syndication, which republishes your release across a network of sites; newsroom and journalist delivery, which puts it in front of working media; and optional managed pitching, which is a separate service with its own price.

eReleases packages national wire distribution with linked placement evidence, while EIN describes wire transmission, newsroom routing and automatic republication as distinct routes. A placement report proves the release travelled — it does not prove a journalist wrote about you.[14][29]

ACCESS Newswire shows the full menu in one account: distribution by release, bundle or subscription next to a media database, pitching, monitoring and analytics. Buy the distribution first; add the platform only if you will actually work the database and the pitches.[6]

Select the audience before the package

Pick the audience before the package. PR Newswire selects down to cities, industries and news beats in more than 170 countries and 40 languages; GlobeNewswire selects by geography, industry and media type across 35 languages with translation. A more precise audience beats a larger headline number every time.[19][21]

Match the granularity to the budget. EIN’s Basic tier covers one country and one industry, with upper tiers doubling countries and quintupling industries. The HOTH’s Gold tier admits international outlets where lower tiers do not. A global headline reach is not a contracted result on every outlet.[3][13]

Build the complete release budget

Add up the whole release, not the headline figure. eReleases’ $399, $499 and $699 packages differ in words, industry lists and extras, with writing at $300 more and per-item charges beyond that. EIN’s $149, $499 and $999 tiers differ in words, media and target counts. PRWeb’s $120, $245, $360 and $480 tiers differ in syndication, journalist email and networks.[13][23][29]

Compare PRWeb at Standard, not Basic. Standard at $245 is the syndication entry with the 1,200-plus site network; Basic at $120 lists no such network. Ranking value by headline price alone compares different purchases.[23]

Treat every starting price as the cheapest tier, not a typical order — then add writing, extra words, extra lists and embedding before deciding. And note what is missing almost everywhere: whether the figure includes tax.

Prepare copy and agree sign-off

Writing and review are different offers. FATJOE writes a 300-plus-word release with revisions and pre-distribution approval; The HOTH prepares 500 words and revises until approval; Loganix prepares the story from your brief with buyer review before scheduling. eReleases charges $300 for writing with satisfaction-before-distribution approval.[1][3][4][29]

EIN’s FAQ states it does not offer human writing, so arrive with finished copy or buy writing elsewhere. Either way, obtain approval before distribution: later edits and removal can be impossible, as The HOTH’s no-modification term and FATJOE’s removal limits show.[1][3][14]

Plan the launch clock

Three different clocks run on one order: writing time, approval-to-wire time, and order-to-report time. A fast wire with slow copy approval is still a slow launch — so ask which clock each published figure keeps.

The HOTH completes most orders in two to three weeks including the final report. PR Newswire distributes within hours of approval once an account is established — the account comes first. ACCESS Newswire typically processes in two to four business hours with same-day distribution, submissions after 5 PM Eastern moving to the following morning.[3][8][21]

EIN lists scheduling and same-day distribution on every plan, limited to verified accounts in business hours, with new-account verification taking up to two business days. eReleases describes writing in three business days and elsewhere in less than a week — confirm the deadline, and remember reports arrive about two hours after release, not after ordering. PRWeb prices Basic and Standard at 48 hours and Advanced and Premium at 24, while its editorial FAQ gives a weekday 24-hour default with Friday-afternoon jobs handled Monday afternoon.[13][14][23][24][29]

Read the distribution report

A good report answers three questions separately: where the release is hosted, who actually opened or clicked it, and how big the hosting sites are. Only the first two describe your release; the third describes someone else’s audience.

ACCESS describes dashboard pickups, views, click-through rates and geography. Business Wire’s NewsTrak adds clicks, social and media interaction, posting sites, history and comparisons with PDF and Excel export. PR Newswire’s Amplify module lists pickup, traffic, engagement and audience with PDF, CSV and PNG exports. eReleases supplies linked WireWatch URLs and a Visibility report.[9][22][28][29]

GlobeNewswire describes release analytics with shareable live dashboards — verify the current platform bundle covers your quote. EIN shows a live representative report with linked reprints and newsroom targets. And in every case: automatically syndicated articles are distribution evidence, not earned reporting.[16][19]

Compare link terms and post-release changes

Record the stated link treatment tier by tier, because it varies. FATJOE’s Pro and Ultimate links usually follow with exceptions while Basic is explicitly nofollow. EIN’s FAQ states nofollow-only release links. PRWeb applies nofollow to every web link automatically. That hyperlinks are allowed says nothing about how they are attributed — and no stated attribute promises indexing, ranking or independent coverage.[1][14][24]

Then read the change and remedy terms with the same care. The HOTH makes no post-distribution modifications. FATJOE cannot assure removal, and its local add-on releases cannot be removed at all. Loganix replaces non-live links with equal-or-better ones under six-month general terms. EIN offers a prorated refund within 60 days where less than a quarter of the credits are used. Each remedy has its own trigger — match the promise to the failure you fear.[1][3][5][14]

FAQs

What does a press release distribution service actually deliver?

Transmission of your release across selected channels, sometimes with republication. A wire service sends the release through its platform, partner and affiliate routes; some add direct newsroom routing and opt-in journalist email. What you receive is distribution plus a report of where it travelled — direct newsroom delivery and automatic syndication are distinct outputs, and neither is a journalist deciding to cover you.[14][29]

Is syndicated publication the same as editorial pickup?

No. Syndication republishes the material you supplied, often automatically, across sites in the circuit. Editorial pickup means a journalist independently decided your story deserved their own words. A placement report documents the first; it establishes nothing about the second.[29][30]

How much does press release distribution cost?

Printed package examples: EIN at $149 for one release, $499 for five and $999 for fifteen; PRWeb at $120 Basic, $245 Standard, $360 Advanced and $480 Premium per release; eReleases at $399, $499 and $699 with writing at $300 more. Scopes differ — words, targets, media and extras — so do not compare value by headline alone. The displayed dollar figures are package prices; billing currency and taxes are not stated on the pricing pages.[13][23][29]

Which services include writing and approval?

FATJOE, The HOTH and Loganix describe writing with buyer review and approval inside the workflow. eReleases charges $300 for writing with revisions and holds distribution until the copy satisfies you; editorial review is included in its distribution. EIN states it does not offer human writing — arrive with finished copy.[1][3][4][14][29]

Can I target a country, industry or language?

PR Newswire describes targeting across more than 170 countries, more than 40 languages, cities, industries and news beats. GlobeNewswire covers 158 countries and 35 languages by geography, industry and media type. EIN’s Basic tier allows one country and one industry, with upper tiers covering two countries and five industries.[13][19][21]

How quickly can a release go out?

On different clocks. PRWeb prices Basic and Standard at 48 hours and Advanced and Premium at 24, with its editorial FAQ giving a weekday 24-hour default and Friday-afternoon jobs handled Monday afternoon. PR Newswire distributes within hours of approval for established accounts. ACCESS Newswire typically processes in two to four business hours with same-day distribution and a 5 PM Eastern cutoff. EIN offers same-day distribution to verified accounts in business hours. The HOTH completes most orders in two to three weeks including the final report. These are different timing bases — confirm which one your order runs on.[3][8][13][21][23][24]

Are links in press releases do-follow?

It depends on the product and the publisher. FATJOE’s Basic tier is expressly nofollow while Pro and Ultimate links usually follow, with exceptions. EIN’s FAQ states nofollow-only release links. PRWeb applies nofollow to every web link automatically. Do not infer link attributes from hyperlinks being allowed.[1][14][24]

Can I edit or remove a distributed release?

Often you cannot. The HOTH states articles cannot be modified after distribution. FATJOE cannot assure removal after distribution, and releases under its local add-on cannot be removed at all. Treat approval before distribution as your last real edit.[1][3]

What reporting should I compare?

Look for release hosting URLs plus actual views and interactions, and keep potential site audience separate from release readership. ACCESS describes dashboard pickups, views, click-through rates and geography. eReleases supplies linked WireWatch URLs and a Visibility report. Business Wire’s NewsTrak adds clicks, history, comparisons and PDF and Excel export. PR Newswire’s Amplify module lists pickup, engagement and audience with PDF, CSV and PNG exports. Automatically syndicated articles are distribution evidence, not earned reporting.[9][22][28][29]

Do distribution packages expire?

Some do. EIN credits must be used within 365 days, rolling over only inside a same-or-higher-level repurchase, with a prorated refund within 60 days where less than a quarter of the credits are used. ACCESS describes its three- and five-release packs as nonexpiring. Confirm each provider’s commitment and expiry rather than assuming all prepaid bundles share one.[8][13][14]

How this ranking is built

Two scores produce this ranking: the Provider Buyer Score from our M1.3 methodology, and the Service Fit Score from this page’s fixed press-release rubric — distribution destinations 0.20, geographic and industry targeting 0.15, journalist and newsroom routing 0.15, release preparation 0.10, scheduling 0.10, pickup and performance measurement 0.15, stated link treatment 0.05, multimedia and formats 0.10. Overall Score is the geometric mean of the two: sqrt(Provider Buyer Score × Service Fit Score). Every provider fact comes from the provider’s own current pages, read on 5 September 2026. Full method: /methodology/.[32]

The full method is on the methodology page.

Summary

Provider Buyer Score (PBS) is the sum of the eight weighted buyer criteria. Service Fit Score (SFS) is the sum of the exact production contributions shown for this page. Overall Score is sqrt(PBS × SFS). Rank and tie status come from the production store.

Rules and dates

  • Ties: providers are grouped when their Overall Score gap from the group leader is below 0.5; tied providers are ordered alphabetically. Rank and tie status above are store-derived.
  • Conflicts: the most buyer-favourable specific current public promise that would reasonably form part of the purchase is credited. The conflict is recorded unless the versions can be reconciled; the same promise is not counted twice.
  • Display rounding: PBS, SFS, and Overall Score are calculated from unrounded production values and displayed to one decimal place.
  • Evidence cutoff: 2026-09-05. Page last updated: 2026-09-05.

Editorial standards and corrections

Every provider fact on this page cites that provider’s own current pages, read on 5 September 2026, and dated in the source list. Where a provider has not published a term, the table says “Not stated” or “Quote required”, and unconfirmed prices are labeled as unconfirmed — an absent term is not a bad term.

Spot an error? Every provider profile on this site carries a “Request a change” form, and anyone — provider or reader — can submit evidence through it. We acknowledge within 5 working days and respond substantively within 20. Successful corrections produce a corrected record and a dated public correction note.

PRWeb’s pricing page gives 48 hours for Basic and Standard and 24 hours for Advanced and Premium, while its editorial FAQ gives a default weekday 24-hour turnaround with Friday-afternoon jobs handled Monday afternoon. Both figures are published here; confirm which applies to your order before relying on either.[23][24]

EIN’s editorial guidelines promise a review of each release while its FAQ calls review discretionary; the favourable promise is kept with that qualification. Loganix’s ten-day product timing and copy-review promise sit alongside general terms that call dates targets; the specific product promises are kept with that qualification. GlobeNewswire’s current platform is named Notified Content OS, and exact base-package inclusions for its analytics and multimedia remain unconfirmed.[4][5][14][17][19]

Quality statements come from published provider terms or attributed provider claims. Prices and terms change, so treat every figure as dated.
